About us

Gaia was the name given to 'Mother Earth' by the ancient Greeks. This concept represents the principle of the interdependence and wholeness of all life and matter.

Gaia Wellbeing in Hungerford is an independent company, supporting local self-employed practitioners to deliver alternative therapies and treatments.

Gaia Wellbeing also offers "Retail Therapy" through our beautiful shop. Come see a wide selection of jewellery, crystals and unusual gifts for you to choose from. Many products are fair trade and natural.

We have created a warm, calm and relaxing place, ideal for unwinding.

We can help with many things such as stress, weight control, anxiety, sleeping problems, relationship issues or you may be in need of simple pamper and moments of indulgence!

Simply come to absorb Gaia's atmosphere, relax and allow
our Burr Elm chairs (designed by Bill Hadfield, used by
Endamol - Channel 4 Interior designers) to envelop you and
work their natural magic!

See the magnificent "Three Orbs" above, once on display at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Where to find us

We are ideally situated in the centre
of the small and historic West Berkshire market town of Hungerford.

With easy access to the M4 motorway, A34
and A4 roads, we can be found on the High Street, in the alley between the Town Hall
and Azuza, past the steel bridge.

By Road:
Hungerford is located on the A4 approximately 5 minutes from Junction 14 of the M4 motorway or 15 minutes from Newbury and Marlborough.

When driving into Hungerford, from the A4 turn onto the A338, Bridge Street at The Bear Hotel. Follow the road around passing over the canal bridge and into High Street and the town centre.

Continue along the High Street and under the large steel railway bridge. We are just past the mini roundabout, on the right hand side, down an alley between the Town Hall and Azuza, leading into The Courtyard.

Parking:
There is ample parking available nearby and throughout Hungerford. The nearest is a Pay & Display 1 minute away from the clinic in Church Street.

Alternatively there is further Pay & Display parking along the High Street and nearby Station Road (just off Park Street). Take the first left into Park Street, left again into Station Road and the Pay & Display is located on your left just before the level crossings.

By Rail:
If you are coming by train, we are a 3 minute walk from Hungerford railway station. When leaving the station, walk through the passageway onto Hungerford High Street. Turn left and walk up the High Street, past the mini roundabout and cross over the road and head towards the Town Hall & Azuza. We are located down in the alley between the Town Hall & Azuza, leading into The Courtyard.

Hungerford offers local rail connections to Newbury, Reading and Great Bedwyn. A direct service is available or connections to London Paddington and Waterloo are available at Reading.
